Engineering Classification
• Crank Flying Shear: Mechanical design for medium-to-high speed lines (up to 40m/min). Suitable for section mills and bar mills processing carbon structural steel (Q235, Q345), alloy steel, and rebar. Typical cutting thickness: 8–60mm depending on material grade.
• Rotary Flying Shear: Non-stop cutting design for continuous rolling lines (up to 60m/min). Primarily used in bar mills and wire rod mills for carbon steel and low-alloy grades. Recommended for production runs requiring minimal head/tail scrap.
Selection factors: Rolling speed, material grade, section size, and whether the application requires non-stop cutting or can tolerate intermittent cutting cycles.
Typical applications: Rebar production lines, structural section mills, wire rod mills, and profile steel manufacturing.
| Classification | Main Flying Shear | Application |
| High-Speed Rotary Shears | Rotary Flying Shear | Designed for continuous high-speed wire rod and small bar lines. Features a dual-rotating blade design for clean, perpendicular cuts at speeds up to 100m/s without interrupting the rolling flow. |
| Crank & Combined Shears | Crank-crop, Crank & Rotary Combined, Gantry Shear | Ideal for crop and cobble shearing of medium to large sections. The start-stop crank mechanism provides massive shearing force with high-precision positioning for head and tail cropping. |
| Heavy-Duty Bar & Cold Shears | Large Bar Flying Shear, 650t-1300t Cold Shear | Engineered for final length cutting and heavy bar processing. These high-tonnage units (up to 1300t) ensure structural integrity during cold shearing of high-strength alloys and large diameter bars. |

The "Gear-Driven" Edge
At the core of every flying shear is the transmission system. Our Nanjing factory—a leader in high-precision gearing—ensures that our shears have zero backlash and superior torque density.
Zero-Backlash Gearing: We use hardened and ground gears (Grade 5 precision) to ensure the cutting blades strike with 100% synchronization, extending blade life and reducing vibration.
Dynamic Balancing: All rotating components undergo rigorous dynamic balancing, essential for maintaining stability at high RPMs in rotary shears.
Integrated Lubrication Systems: Heavy-duty shears feature forced-oil lubrication for the main bearings and gears, allowing for continuous operation in high-temperature mill environments.
Manufacturing Edge
Precision Machining of Shear Housings. The alignment of the blade axes is critical. We process all shear housings on large-scale CNC Gantry Machining Centers in a single setup. This guarantees the parallelism of the axes and the perpendicularity of the cut, ensuring that every shear we deliver meets automotive-grade mechanical tolerances.
